Tickets for Green Day's show at London’s Emirates Stadium go onsale today (September 28) at 9am (BST).

The power punk trio, who released their new studio album 'iUno!' earlier this week, will play the huge 60,000 capacity stadium commonly used by Arsenal Football Club on June 1, 2013.

The band's frontman Billie Joe Armstrong hit the headlines this week after he checked himself into a clinic for substance abuse treatment on Sunday (September 23), two days after a meltdown during the band's performance at iHeartRadio Music Festival.

The singer launched into a foul-mouthed tirade at the end of the band's gig in Las Vegas on September 21. Believing that the band only had one minute of their slot remaining, Armstrong yelled: "Oh fuck this shit. I'm gonna play a fucking new song. Fuck this shit. Give me a fucking break. One minute left. You're gonna give me one fucking minute?"

He went on to say: "Let me tell you something, I've been around since 19-fucking-88. And you're gonna give me one fucking minute? You've gotta be fucking kidding me! You’re fucking kidding me. What the fuck! I'm not fucking Justin Bieber, you motherfuckers."

Armstrong concluded his outburst by smashing his guitar on the stage and aiming a parting shot at the audience, stating: "One minute. God fucking love you all. We'll be back."
