Green Day unveil video to Twilight Saga soundtrack tune 'The Forgotten' – watch Green Day Tickets
Track will feature on the Breaking Dawn – Part 2 soundtrack
Green Day have unveiled the video to their new track 'The Forgotten' – scroll down to watch it.
The song will feature on the soundtrack to the latest film installment in the Twilight Saga - Twilight: Breaking Dawn – Part 2, and is taken from the final release in their album trilogy 'iTRE!', which is due on December 11.
"When we were asked to be part of the Breaking Dawn – Part 2 soundtrack, we readily agreed because the films are an insane cultural phenomenon," says Green Day bassist Mike Dirnt. "We have always been impressed with the way the Twilight soundtracks are so carefully curated."
Earlier this week, Green Day cancelled all their scheduled live appearances for the remainder of 2012 and early 2013. The announcement came after Billie Joe Armstrong checked into a rehab clinic last month following an onstage meltdown.
"Obviously the timing for this isn’t ideal, but Billie Joe’s well-being is our main concern," Mike Dirnt said in a statement on the band's website. "We are happy to say that Billie Joe is doing well, and we want to thank you all for the outpouring of support and well wishes that we have received, and we can’t wait to see you all again soon."
The second installment of Green Day's '¡Uno!, ¡Dos!, ¡Tré!' album trilogy, '¡Dos!', is due to come out on November 12. The band will play a huge UK stadium show next summer, headlining London's 60,000 capacity Emirates Stadium on June 1, 2013.
