Grizzly Bear’s Chris Taylor is currently writing a cookbook.

The band's bass player/multi-instrumentalist and producer, who also has a solo project called CANT, is apparently writing the book for publishing company Random House.

New York magazine – via Pitchfork - reports that Taylor is writing the book in a rented house in the woodlands near Germantown, New York, in-between touring commitments.

Taylor has also spoken to SPIN about his culinary project, which he says will be 'seasonally relevant'. He explained that he loves throwing dinner parties, saying:
It doesn't have a title yet, but at the moment it's 20 dinners, fully coursed, all seasonally relevant. I think a lot of people open a cookbook and they're like, "Where do I start?" And this is just like: "Make this dinner." It's making cooking approachable for people in a different way. I love throwing dinner parties. I used to have a fire pit until I got the cops called on me.

Grizzly Bear will tour the UK in support of their new album 'Shields' later this month.

Grizzly Bear will play:

Gateshead Sage Theatre (October 17)
Manchester Academy (18)
Glasgow Barrowlands (20)
Warwick Arts Centre (21)
O2 Academy Brixton (22)
