Gucci Mane files lawsuit against Waka Flocka Flame and his mother

Fraud, racketeering, theft and breach of contract suit filed in Atlanta

Gucci Mane is reportedly suing his Waka Flocka Flame and his mother for fraud, racketeering, theft and breach of contract.

The Atlanta Journal reports that a lawsuit was filed in which both Waka Flocka Flame, a former protoge of Gucci Mane, and his mum are accused of, among other things, setting up companies without his knowledge and while in control of his label 1017 Records in 2009. Waka Flocka Flame, named by his birth name of Juaquin Malphurs, is also accused of being in direct violation of his contract with 1017. Producer and DJ Xavier Dotson, and rappers Khia Stone and Otis 'OJ da Juiceman' Jones, Jr are also named in the lawsuit.

The lawsuit refers specifically to a period in 2009 when Gucci Mane was in jail for violating his probation. Debra Antney, Waka Flocka Flame's mother, took control of 1017 while he was imprisoned and is accused of setting up three companies without his permission as well as fraudulently inflating label expenses and keeping the money for herself, failing to report taxes, withholding royalty payments to Gucci Mane and stealing a ring and necklace.

Earlier this year, in a separate case, Mane pleaded not guilty to a charge of aggravated assault with a weapon, following an alleged altercation in which he struck a fan on the head with a champagne bottle. US soldier James Lettley claimed that the rapper had attacked him in a nightclub in Atlanta, but Mane has denied the charges, with his attorney Drew Finding stating: "He’s out on bond, just going about his life."
