Guns N' Roses album 'out this year'

Axl Rose confirms the news in a rare interview

Guns N' Roses album 'out this year'

Axl Rose has revealed that the long-awaited Guns N’ Roses album ‘Chinese Democracy’ will finally be released this year.

The star made the comments after making a surprise appearance on a New York-based syndicated radio show, presented by Eddie Trunk.

Rose’s Saturday (May 6) slot came when former Skid Row frontman Sebastian Bach, who was co-hosting the show, called Rose's mobile and put him through to the studio, reports Billboard.

When he was asked when the group’s first album in 13 years would come out, Rose said, "Sometime this fall or late fall…it will be out this year."

Guns N’ Roses begin a four-night run at New York's Hammerstein Ballroom on Friday (May 12). They also tour Europe in the summer – their schedule includes a slot at the Download Festival on June 12.
