Guns N Roses cancel festival slot
Bassist Tommy Stinson is still suffering with a wrist injury
Guns N' Roses have been forced to axe their headlining slot at a festival in South Africa.
The band have pulled out of the My Coke Fest after bassist Tommy Stinson failed to recover from a wrist injury he sustained when he fell down a flight of stairs earlier this month.
“We’d like to apologise to our fans who were looking forward to seeing us for their patience and support,” said Stinson in a statement on My Coke Fest's official site.
The festival, which takes place in Johannesburg on April 27 and Cape Town on May 1, will now go ahead instead with the likes Evanescence, Hoobastank, Staind and 3 Doors Down.
As previously reported on NME.COM, Stinson's injury forced the band to postpone a series of dates in Japan earlier this month.
