Nine 'mastered' tracks surface on the internet

Nine tracks from Guns N' Roses' long-awaited 'Chinese Democracy' album have been leaked.

The songs, reportedly "mastered [and] finished", were leaked on a site yesterday (June 18), but have since been taken down.

Six of the tracks had been leaked in less completed states before, but three tracks have never been heard before, including 'Rhiad And The Bedouins' and 'If The World'.

Some of the songs feature the group's trademark guitar bombast, while others include piano, orchestrations and flamenco influences.

Read the NME Office Blog now for our initial verdict on the leaked Guns N Roses songs.

The leaked tracks are:

'Better'
'The Blues'
'Chinese Democracy'
'Madagascar'
'IRS'
'There Was A Time'
'Rhiad And The Bedouins'
'If The World'
'[Untitled]'

'Chinese Democracy' has been in the making since 1994, and has so far cost over $13 million to make.

Only Axl Rose remains from the band's original line-up.

I don't think anyone cares about "GnR" anymore, and Chinese Democracy has become a joke. Axl played a few songs off it at download....they were nothing to write home about and he got booed. Despite being a big guns fan, there's no way I'll be buying it.....Ill stick to VR thanks.

It becomes instantly apparent why he's been keeping this album under wraps for quite so long - it's god awful. There is not one half decent song among those leaked. A shame, but not a shock.

This is a farce... they were crap even when they were popular... now it's just a bad joke.

well it's never gonna be released anyway, no record company wants to take the risk, gnr are too outdated for todays audience and so they just wouldn't make the money back(let alone a profit). the cd will now basically just be a $13 milion dollar drinks coaster for axl's house

The album will be released and it will be very very good. The guys got more talent than most so called song writers out there today. Just wait till it comes out before slating it. The album will go to number 1 and the tour will be a sell out as it was 2 yrs ago. No new matirial released since 94 yet they still sell out areans across the world!!! Not a risk at all.

Well said adno11.So they are no longer relevant? Why all the fuss then when this subject rears its head. Think about it....nobody is interested, but scores feel the need to tell everyone that. If Pete Junkerty hits the headlines, I aint bothered, cos I aint interested, so I wont post comment on him.Chinese Democracy starts now! (hopefully)

fuck that i wanna hear it, themusicfreak you talk crap, appitite sold 15 million albums and still sells thousands of copies a year's 20 years after it was released. g'n'r original line up was an amazing band the new line up isn't as good but they are still a great fucking band. so yeah i wanna hear it and yes i would go watch them, bet they would have no problem selling out the m.e.n they didn't have any problems last time they played there

TheMusicFreak talks rubbish. I wasn't even born when Appetite For Destruction was released and I still consider it one of the best albums I've ever heard... timeless music will remain timeless. Gimme Guns'n'Roses over any band going around today.

The only people waiting for this album are sad, pathetic fanboys waiting to complete their G'n'R collections. The album only attracts attention for the same reason people watch war coverage- they want to see a flaming wreck and thank God they're not involved with it!

Let's be honest, it will probably be crap anyway - 17 years of waiting for an anti-climax no doubt

Give me a break, still a great band? I think not. If it takes this long to finish/release an album then they are the least relevant and creative band around. Just split, but I guess when that much has been spent on a half completed album then there has to a little hype, just for Axl's sanity!?! Terrible band.

ummm. im sorry but i have the tracks and they are pretty damn good.i will buy the album and watch everyone follow along thats said its garbage. some bands evolve for the worst and some bands know how to evolve. grant it axl is the only original member but you cant deny this album. just as the old lineup offered us something fresh and new the new lineup does the same thing. people are just real narrow-minded sometimes....

i never really used to like gnr but im digging their new material. its strange - due to the length of time its taken to record, each song seems to dip into various musical stylings which have been popular over the past 10 years. its like an all inclusive time capsule or something.

I rather think your talking is crap. I cant understand all those people out there keep waiting for new Leaks and the record just that they can say "i told you its crap"I as a musician in Prog Rock have to tell you this is fantastic stuff. Axl goes his way and tries things only few made before. If the record would consost of the known leaks it would nevertheless be the best record by gnr in my opinion. For everyone expecting stuff like AFD it will be crap, but why are you here? You know what to expect a mixture of many styles. Compared to epics like "this I love" and " the blues" slash's works have rather to be considered as crap.yourssenfkuchen from oversea

The new tracks are very good and have meaning unlike most of the stuff out today. Yeah Axls prob not all there and is a prefectionist but the guys a genius and he wants it to be right and in his own way it will be, give him a break man all geniuses are crazy! The album will kick a$$.
