Guns N' Roses leaker pleads not guilty
Kevin Cogill faces misdemeanour charges
The man accused of leaking several Guns N' Roses tracks online pleaded not guilty in a Los Angeles federal court today (October 20).
Kevin Cogill, 27, is accused of violating federal copyright laws by uploading nine tracks from the veteran rockers' highly anticipated forthcoming album 'Chinese Democracy' on his website this summer.
Cogill admitted to uploading the tracks, but Guns N' Roses issued a statement after his arrest saying that although they did not support his actions, "our interest is in the original source (of the leak)".
Cogill faces up to five years in a federal prison if convicted of the misdemeanour count, reports E! Online. A trial date has not yet been set.
Meanwhile, after repeated delays, 'Chinese Democracy' is finally due to be released in the US on November 25, as previously reported.
