A new Guns N' Roses air guitar competition has been launched - and the winner will get to hear the band's forthcoming new album, 'Chinese Democracy', before its release later this month.

To enter the competition fans need to upload video footage of their "craziest, most inappropriate" air guitar attempts to the band's YouTube channel.

One winner will win entry to a pre-release album playback party 'Chinese Democracy' will be released on November 24 in the UK, and will feature 14 songs.

The album is reported to have cost in excess of $13 million (£6.5 million) to produce, and has been worked on for the past 14 years.

The band's last album was the covers record 'The Spaghetti Incident?' in 1993.

it's taken him the best part of six months but finally "whatawasteoftime" has got something right! Just my opinion but I hate everything about their style of music. From the horrible solos that all sound the same to me from the vocal technique from William Axl Rose where he sounds like a cat being strangeled. If they were shit with Slash, without him, God i dread to think. Theirs only one album I'll be buying that day, The Killers!!!! :) Now i'll wait for its_rudimentary to come and slag me off like he usually does haha

What's the point of wasting your time commenting on it then if you all hate it? I guess Axl is worth at least a little bit of your time eh? I know if I hated something I wouldn't waste my time writing about it...By the way, Soundedd...solo's that all sound the same? Yeah, because NOBODY sounds like The Killers these days... LOL Every band out there sounds like them... get a pulse...

Soundedd you need your head testing. Have you ever heard Appetite for Destruction? Classic album, far superior to any of the boring dirge the Killers have released. You seriously need to take a look at your record collection. All you seem to listen to is piss poor excuse fo indie bands that have popped up in the past couple of years. Try working your way back, and see where all todays music originated. At the moment you just make yourself sound like a gimp
