Guns N' Roses' Duff McKagan hails Pink Floyd and ZZ Top at Classic Rock Awards

Pink Floyd, ZZ Top, The Damned and Status Quo were all honoured at the Classic Rock Awards last night (November 13).

The ceremony was hosted by Guns N' Roses, Velvet Revolver and Loaded bassist Duff McKagan, who urged musicians to get behind the Help For Heroes charity.

ZZ Top bagged the Living Legend award, which was announced by 2011's winner, guitarist Jeff Beck. Meanwhile, Rival Sons picked up the Breakthough Act Of The Year gong for their second album 'Head Down'.

Russ Ballard – who penned tracks such as Rainbow's 1980 hit 'Since You've Been Gone' and Argent's 'God Gave Rock And Roll To You', which was later covered by Kiss – picked up the Classic Songwriter award.
