Happy Mondays man refused US visa
Bez will be absent from Coachella performance
Happy Mondays will perform at Coachella this weekend, but without Bez who was refused a visa to enter the US. The dancer will not be present for the band’s first US performance in 15 years, set to take place on Sunday (April 29).
A statement was this morning released saying:
“Due to tightening immigration and working visa legislation, Bez was not, unfortunately, able to secure a visa to perform at Coachella this weekend. Happy Mondays apologies to all their US fans that they will not, on this occasion, be able to enjoy the spectacle of Bez shaking his stuff for them at Coachella.”
Bez will however be appearing in May with the band on their sold out UK tour.
The band are readying the follow-up to 1992’s ‘Yes Please!’, which is being produced by hip-hop producer Sonny Levine and mixed by Bjork and U2 producer Howie B.
