HAR MARRED!

The fella was clearly not a fan of the portly casanova's new songs...

HAR MARRED!

HAR MAR SUPERSTAR has needed dental work following a brawl during TEXAS's SOUTH BY SOUTH WEST festival.

NME's 'Man Of The Year' was playing in an abandoned warehouse on Friday (March 19) as part of a free SXSW fringe party at 4822 Caesar Chavez when the incident occurred.

He says he saw red after a "drunk, random dude" threw an object at him which injured his face.

He told NME.COM: "You probably heard about the scuffle I got into at the Record Collection/True Love SXSW party this year. A drunken random dude in the crowd threw a huge, penis-shaped piñata at my head while I was performing.

"It would have been hilarious if it hadn't hit the microphone into my face so hard that I needed to visit a dentist today. After four songs I went into the crowd to serenade some ladies and he tripped me and poured an entire drink on my head. A gentlemanly shoving match ensued."

Har Mar added: "Anyway, I got mad and chased him around the venue and threw garbage at him until security got him off the premises. I was pretty angry that my first opportunity to play my new laboured on songs for my friends was ruined by some shitty party fouler. I did, however, play an amazing set the next day at Emo's with Hives. No one stepped to me. Don't fuck with the fucking best."

As previously reported on NME.COM, Har Mar Superstar has recruited Holly Valance for his second album. The singer has been in and out of the studio working on songs for the record, which should be released this year.

Speaking to NME, he revealed: "She’s (Holly) really sexy. Her last album was really good dance music. She’s really fun to be around, to have around the studio. There’s two songs she’s on - ’Body Request’ and ’Back The Camel Up’."
