The band literally take their album on the road...

HARD FI have finished work on their debut album after literally road testing the LP.

The band are set to release ‘Stars Of CCTV’ on July 4 following the single ‘Hard To Beat’ – due out on June 20 – and adopted a strange technique for the final mix-downs.

Singer Richard Archer told NME.COM: “Because we don’t have a proper mixer, to make sure the mixes were sitting correctly, we’d drive around in our producer’s BMW which he picked up for £500 and listen to the tracks. Most people are going to listen to it in their cars and bedrooms – if it works well in the car you can’t go far wrong.”

The group recorded the album at their own Cherry Lips studio in their hometown of Staines.
