Hard Fi V Festival 2006

Hard-Fi to make surprise appearance this weekend

Hard-Fi have completed the line-up for this year’s Glastonbury, telling NME.COM{/b] that they’re playing a secret gig at the festival.

The band are currently mixing their second album [b]‘Once Upon A Time In The West’
, but will dash from the studio and down to the Somerset festival on Saturday night (June 23) to headline the Leftfield Stage.

“It was through the Love Music Hate Racism people,” explained frontman Richard Archer. “They book the Leftfield stage and knew we weren’t going to do any festivals. I was thinking ‘Lets just concentrate on getting the album out’, but then they asked us if we fancied doing it.”

Archer said that the band will debut several songs from the new album during their set in the tent.

He revealed: “We’ll play two or three new ones. At the moment we’re actually mixing the record, we’ve only got two rehearsals before Glastonbury so it’s going to be a bit like The Stones in ’71, a bit ramshackle,” he said. “But I promise you this, we’ll be proper fucking ‘aving it!”
