LA noise-rock band HEALTH performed new songs over the course of two shows in London earlier this week (June 3).

Playing at Dalston venue Birthdays, the group appeared twice over the evening, giving fans the opportunity to see them at an early or late show. Coming onstage just after 10pm for the second gig of the night, the band tore through a chaotic set that included tracks from the band’s first two albums, 'HEALTH' and 'Get Color', as well as songs from their as-yet-untitled forthcoming third record.

Reportedly, Crystal Castles' Alice Glass was among the sell-out crowd. The two groups have collaborated previously on the track 'Crimewave', which appeared on both bands' debut albums. HEALTH performed the song early in their set last night to rapturous response.

As brave crowdsurfers tried to make it to the front of the small venue, frontman Jake Duzsik announced to the audience, "The second show was better than the first!" to huge cheers before bringing the night to a close, saying: "We normally go off and come back on to play this one but we’re just going to stay here." The band then played the brief noise blast of ‘USA Boys’ before walking offstage.

Speaking to NME recently, bassist John Famiglietti revealed it was hard not to be affected by the rise of EDM stars such as Skrillex. "When music changes and especially when the whole landscape of music changes as it has done with EDM, it changes the way you think about music, even just subconsciously," he explained. "Music is just different now, there’s no denying it."

The forthcoming album currently has no release date but the band say it could be released by the end of the year.

HEALTH played:

‘Die Slow’
‘Goth Star’
‘Tabloid Sores’
‘We Are Water’
‘USA Boys’
