Hole with Courtney Love, Babyshambles to play Shockwaves NME Awards Shows

Two acts set for February gigs – ticket details

Until very recently a new album from Courtney Love had been slated for an October 2008 release. The former Hole vocalist has been working with songwriter Linda Perry and Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan for the last three years. However, those sessions have now been scrapped, and Love is now said to be teaming up with Micko Larkin, the former guitarist in Larrikin Love, who joined her live band last year, with an album expected soon.
Courtney Love's new incarnation of her band Hole and Babyshambles will play Shockwaves NME Awards Shows next month.

Both bands will play on February 17 in London. Hole will play the O2 Shepherd's Bush Empire while Pete Doherty's Babyshambles play KOKO in Camden.

They join the likes of Delphic, British Sea Power and Hadouken!, who will also play Shockwaves NME Awards shows in the UK capital next month. The Maccabees will play two shows in Ireland and Northern Ireland as part of the gig series.
