Hot Chip preview fourth album at 'hidden' London gig
Band play benefit show for charity Crisis
Hot Chip played a live PA gig last night (May 6) at the Village Underground venue in London last night (May 5), showcasing four new songs destined for their fourth album.
The "hidden" gig was in aid of the homeless charity Crisis.
Following on from DJ Erol Alkan , the electro-popsters played a DJ set before cutting in live midway through to perform their new songs at the club venue.
The as-yet untitled songs showcased '80s-style, synth effects and euphoric choruses, they also boasted some impressive harmonies from band members Al Doyle, Alexis Taylor and Joe Goddard.
After the new tracks, the band continued DJ-ing, playing a clubbier version of their own hit 'Ready For The Floor' plus La Roux's Top Ten single 'In For The Kill'.
Although the band are not expected to release their fourth album until next year, they have recently released a compilation, 'Bugged Out Bugged In', that features new Hot Chip song 'Take It In'.
