Hot Chip song inspired by Susan Boyle
Joe Goddard says Boyle's TV performances were 'quite incredible'
Hot Chip have written a song about Susan Boyle, bandmember Joe Goddard has revealed.
Goddard said that 'Keep Quiet', which is taken from the band's new album 'One Life Stand' (released on February 8), was written directly after he watched Boyle's performance of 'I Dreamed A Dream' from the musical Les Misérables on Britain's Got Talent.
"I'd never seen it before and I found it quite incredible," Goddard told Billboard about the song. "Just listening to that made me want to write a song. I sent the track to Alexis [Taylor] and he quickly wrote the words and sent it back."
The tracklisting for 'One life Stand' is:
'Thieves In The Night'
'Hand Me Down Your Love'
'I Feel Better'
'One Life Stand'
'Brothers'
'Slush'
'Alley Cats'
'We Have Love'
'Keep Quiet'
'Take It In'
