Hot Hot Heat launch new album with LA party

Dirty Pretty Things, Subways show their support

Hot Hot Heat celebrated the US launch of their new record 'Happiness Ltd' with an intimate performance and party at Cinespace in Los Angeles last night (September 11).

The Hollywood venue was filled with friends including Dirty Pretty Things' Carl Barat and The Subways as well as fans who had bought the album earlier in the day and received free tickets to the show.

The Canadian rockers led things with their catchy lead single 'Let Me In', and ran through several tracks from the new album as well as older crowd-pleasers including 'Bandages' and 'Dirty Mouth'.

"This is the first day that our new record is out and we're very happy to be with you guys," frontman Steve Bays told the adoring crowd, who cheered and hollered in response.

"I guess some of you got the new record today, which is very cool," he added.

After their performance, Bays told NME.COM that he thought the show was "amazing. They kept serving us Kamikazes on stage so the show grew progressively better as the set went on. And it was nice to play new songs without pissing people off for once."
