Howling Bells singer plays cupid

Howling Bells singer plays cupid

Howling Bells singer Juanita Stein has been playing cupid for a couple of fans.

The band was playing the Fleece venue in Bristol last Wednesday (February 28) and was asked by a fan if she would propose.

Stein told NME.COM: “I was given a post it note with this dude's name on it, Gary, asking me if I would propose to his girlfriend Charlotte for him over the mic right before ‘Setting Sun’ (their song!).

“So after singling her out in the audience I asked her if she would take his hand in marriage. I suspect she was probably very embarrassed, but of course she said yes, and the entire crowd erupted into applause and cheers. Was a very touching moment!”

The band will continue their UK tour/matchmaking service at:

Manchester Academy 3 (March 8)
Newcastle Academy 2 (10)
Glasgow Classic Grand (11)
Abedeen Kef (12)
Inverness Raigmore (13)
Edinburgh Caberet Voltaire(14)
