Hurts have announced that they are releasing a free Christmas single.

'All I Want For Christmas Is New Year's Day' will be released on December 14 through iTunes.

Singer Theo Hutchcraft revealed the news earlier today (November 24) via Twitter.

In the tweet Hutchcraft also posted a picture of the artwork for the festive single.

The song will be the follow-up to the duo's latest single 'Stay', which was released earlier this month.

As previously reported, Hurts will begin a 2011 tour of the UK in Brighton on February 2.
