Hurts frontman Theo Hutchcraft has revealed that he often checks into hotels under the name of TV presenter Lorraine Kelly.

The singer said he uses the daytime TV star's name to stop crazed fans from finding him when they tour Europe.

He said: "We're changing them [my name] all the time, he told The Sun. I used Lorraine when I was in Germany and I've also checked in as Howard Hughes."

At a recent gig Hutchcraft also said he was approached by a model who showed him a tattoo of his face above her left boob and his band's name above her right.

Hurts recently came top of an NME poll to find the best performance at this year's T In The Park festival.

The electro-pop duo, who played in the King Tut's Wah Wah Tent, fought off competition from headliners Arctic Monkeys and Coldplay to pick up the title.
