Elbow to produce next I Am Kloot album

Manchester band's next effort to be released later in 2009

Elbow's Guy Garvey and Craig Potter have been signed up to produce the next album by Manchester's I Am Kloot[/a].

The pair produced the band's debut album, 2001's [b]'Natural History'
, with the next effort scheduled to be released later in 2009.

They will head to Stockport's Moolah Rouge studio to record the album soon.

Garvey said in a statement: "Listening to the demos was like being jostled by gentlemen thieves. I looked down and my heart was gone, and my fucking wallet!"

Elbow have given us some good tunes admittedly....though unfortunately the "throw your curtains wide..." one will forever be used in the end credits of gritty northern drama's to signify a loser drunk/addict/gambler realising the error of his ways and vowing to give these things up while ironically and simultaneously winning the lottery then misplacing the ticket then making up with his dour hatchet faced wife only to find the ticket then realising that his life isn't about money, it's all to do with starting again and learning from your mistakes...
