The British artist placed third on BBC's Sound of 2018 shortlist
IAMDDB has been selected to represent Italian sportswear brand Diadora’s Spring/Summer 2018 ad campaign, ‘Powered by Defiance’, which launched earlier this week.
The 21-year-pold British vocalist came third in the BBC’s Sound of 2018 poll at the start of January. Joining her in the campaign are Italian singers Joan Thiele and Rkomi.
Shot in Lisbon, the campaign finds IAMDDB leading a team wearing masks of “ancient Roman warriors” and engaging in a “multisport parkour battle” with Rkomi’s team.
Last night at the BRIT Awards (February 21) Beats 1 DJ Julie Adenuga told NME that IAMDDB is the most exciting new artist in the UK.
When asked about the new act she is most in love with, Adenuga told us: “IAMDDB – she’s from Manchester. She’s got a beautiful voice, but at the same time makes this trap music that makes you want to light a candle and dance to it. She’s just got an aura and a vibe that is really encapsulating.”
