Ian Brown's UK tour was thrown into jeopardy over the weekend when offices storing his equipment suffered fire damage.

Ian Brown is currently resting in Mexico prior to his UK dates, which start on February 15 in Sheffield.

A spokesperson for the star told NME.COM this morning (February 4) that on Saturday (February 2) the building that holds his manager's office in Chorley Wood, Herts caught fire.

Saved from the inferno were a host of musical instruments that would've been destroyed, as well as phones, computer and fax equipment, vital for the tour to be a success.

The spokesperson added: "Fortunately the tour can go ahead as planned. Ian Brown's manager saw the fire from his home and went the office and saved everything before it was too late. Some of the adjacent buildings are gutted, but his was just damaged."
