Ian Brown gets hero's reception at T In The Park

Singer rewards the crowd with bagpiper and Stone Roses classic

Ian Brown received a hero's reception during his headline slot at the T In The Park festival in Scotland tonight (July 12), after giving the event a local flavour by coming onstage accompanied by a bagpiper.

The former Stone Roses singer has a strong following in Scotland, and the King Tut's Wah-Wah Tent was packed out when he took to the stage.

Shadow boxing and jumping around the stage, Brown played a set comprised of songs from his solo career, before delighting fans by playing The Stone Roses' classic 'Waterfall'.

After the crowd repeatedly chanted his name, the star replied: "Scotland, I love you back!"
