Ian Brown sends Oxegen 2008 off with mini Rihanna cover
Singer brings festival to a close
Taking to the stage with a lone trumpeter playing 'The Godfather' theme, the former Stone Roses frontman treated the crowd to an unscheduled cover.
"You been drinking a lot?" Brown asked the crowd and got loud cheers back before he decided to test his microphone by singing a verse of Rihanna's 'Umbrella' acapella.
To chants of "Ian! Ian!" from the crowd, the singer then got stuck into his own material, including 'Golden Gaze', 'Dolphins Were Monkeys' and The Stone Roses' 'Waterfall'.
Brown then wrapped up the 2008 event with a blazing version of 'F.E.A.R.'.
Ian Brown played:
'Goodbye To The Broken'
'Street Children (Pity The Child)'
'On Track'
'Time Is My Everything'
'Lovebug'
'Sweet Fantastic'
'Destiny Or Circumstance'
'All Ablaze'
'Keep What Ya Got'
'Dolphins Were Monkeys'
'Golden Gaze'
'Longsight M13'
'Sister Rose'
'Waterfall'
'F.E.A.R.'
