Local heroes launch new album '100 Broken Windows' with hometown gig in Edinburgh last night...
Idlewild were lauded as local heroes when they launched new album '100 Broken Windows' at Edinburgh Princes Street HMV at midnight last night.
More than 200 fans packed into the shop with many travelling from as far afield as Dundee and Aberdeen just to see their idols.
They were treated to a blistering performance from the band, who's set included the Top 40 singles 'Little Discourage' and 'Actually, It's Darkness'.
An HMV spokesperson told nme.com: "The evening was a tremendous success because they're such a popular band, especially up here, and the success of this album launch proves it. It's probably the biggest we've ever had."
'100 Broken Windows' was released yesterday through Food Records and is expected to chart at the end of the week.
