Iggy Pop plays too loud - official!

Punk legend Iggy Pop is in trouble after playing his music too loud.

Officials in the Swiss city of Lucerne said yesterday (December 14) that the 58-year-old star reached a decibel level of 102.5 while performing with his band The Stooges during July's Blue Balls Festival.

That exceeded the maximum volume allowed of 100 decibels, which itself had been raised as an exception for the concert from the normal limit of 93 decibels, reports ABC.

Though no one will be banging on the punk's bedroom walls telling him to 'keep it down', the organisers of the festival are now facing a $1,155 fine.

Pop has yet to comment on the noise complaints.
