The singer celebrates landmark at Stooges gig

Iggy Pop has celebrated his 60th birthday at a Stooges gig.

The singer was surprised by birthday celebrations during a gig in San Francisco, which took place at the Warfield Theatre.

Towards the end of the 80-minute set the crowd sang ’Happy Birthday’ to the singer.

Balloons bearing his image dropped from the ceiling and he muttered thanks, and then continued performing.

During ’No Fun’ he invited fans in the moshpit to jump on the stage and sing along with him, reports Sky News.
