INCUBUS KNIFE ARREST

INCUBUS singer BRANDON BOYD was arrested in NEW YORK on Wednesday (October 6) for attempting to take a switchblade onto an aeroplane.

Lou Martinez, a spokesperson for the Port Authority of New York And New Jersey, said that the star was charged with criminal possession of a weapon after security at LaGuardia Airport discovered the knife in his hand luggage.

In a statement released yesterday (October 7), Boyd said: "I totally forgot it was at the bottom of my bag, and when the security person pulled it out, I thought, 'Oh, no'."

According to the Associated Press, the singer was allowed on a later flight to Raleigh, North Carolina, so he could perform there that night (October 6).

Boyd’s management arranged for a police escort to take him to the RVC Center, after the singer arrived in Raleigh around 20 minutes before the band were due onstage.

"That was the most rock star of an entrance I've ever made," Boyd said. "The police cars pulled up to the venue and I literally walked right onstage."

Incubus wrap up their tour on November 19 in Loveland, Colorado.
