‘Indiana Jones’ set for 3D conversion?

Steven Spielberg and George Lucas reported to be planning conversion

The Indiana Jones films could be the next classic movie franchise to be re-released in 3D.

Starting from 2012, the Star Wars films, success permitting, will be re-released in 3D over a six-year period, and it is now being claimed that George Lucas and Steven Spielberg are planning to convert the four Indiana Jones movies into the new format for a cinematic release.

According to Blue Sky Disney, Lucas will soon announce that Raiders Of The Lost Ark will have the 3D conversion treatment, and, if successful with audiences, the other three films will follow.

Lucas is a self-confessed fan of 3D cinema, while Spielberg is currently working on 3D project Tintin And The Secret Of The Unicorn.
