Members of Interpol, Liars and Deerhunter got together for an intimate show under the name Reefer Duberland in Chicago on Thursday night (October 11).
Paul Banks, Sam Forgarino, Bradford Cox of Deerhunter and all of Liars took to the stage for the badly-kept surprise show at Empty Bottle, following Interpol’s show in the city earlier that evening.
According to Pitchfork, Banks kept a low profile through the show, crouching in a corner with his guitar, while Liars led the performance.
By 30 minutes into the show, however, the packed club had dwindled to half capacity, with Paul Banks apparently wearing a stern expression throughout.
