Interpol drummer Sam Fogarino has revealed the details of his new side project.

Magnetic Morning is a collaboration between Fogarino and singer/guitarist Adam Franklin of Swervedriver and Toshack Highway.

The duo will release their debut self-titled EP in the US on April 19. They recorded the five-song EP at Electric Lady studios in New York.

Fogarino and Franklin formed the partnership after being introduced by a mutual friend in 2006 and discovering they shared a lot in common musically.

The project was originally called Setting Suns, but the band changed the name due to "an already existing entity with a name too close for comfort."

Fogarino is set to play a DJ set at Other Music in New York on April 19 at 5:00pm EST to celebrate the album's release.
