Elton John launches range of crystal-encrusted iPods for charity

Share of profits will go to Rocket Man's AIDS Foundation

Elton John has launched a range of crystal-encrusted iPods to raise money for his AIDS charity.

John personally oversaw the design of the limited-edition £400 music players, and had his signature lasered on the back of each one, according to the Daily Record.

A share of the profits from the sale of the iPods will be handed over to the Elton John AIDS Foundation.

"Elton does not usually put his name to a product but this is exactly the kind of thing he loves. It's extravagant and glamorous just like him. And, as everyone knows, his AIDS charity is very close to his heart," his spokesperson told the newspaper.

Elton has already raised over £100 million for the charity.

How about putting some money to it and not just his name? How magnanimous...a part of the profits???!! How much cash has he squandered on "recreational" pursuits? Already raised £100 million? how much of that was his own money when he can blow millions shopping? Or did he not accept a fee for the promotion????

Daveglynis, How much have you raised? How much of your money is in that 100 million? Why do you have to tear into other peoples efforts?
