Iron Maiden announce 'Maiden Day' for new feature-length film
'Flight 666' is to be shown in over 400 cinemas worldwide in one day
The band are calling the day - April 21 - 'Maiden Day'.
The film follows Iron Maiden on their 2008 'Somewhere Back In Time Tour', which saw them play to nearly half a million fans across the world.
Singer Bruce Dickinson flew the band and their crew around the globe on a specially commissioned Boeing 747 for much of the journey.
In a statement, Iron Maiden's manager Rod Smallwood said 'Flight 666' is an access all areas-style documentary that sees the band performing onstage, travelling and relaxing in between shows.
"This film is a testament to an extraordinary tour and to our incredible fans all over the world," he said. "Seeing it on the big screen will make you feel like you were there on that spectacular journey."
Tickets for the film are on sale now. See Ironmaiden.com for more information.
