Iron Maiden set for Roskilde festival 2011
Group are the first to be confirmed to play the Danish event next summer
The group will no doubt play a number of songs from their recent UK Number One album, 'The Final Frontier' at the event, which takes place between June 30 and July 3, 2011.
"Roskilde festival has always been very special for Iron Maiden," bassist Steve Harris said in a statement. "There's an amazing atmosphere about the place and the crowd are real party animals! We've heard the festival vibe is now better than ever, and as we've not been there since 2003 we're really looking forward to finding out if that's true."
Early bird tickets for the event are priced at £200 and go on sale from December 1. For more information, visit Roskilde-Festival.dk.
