‘Iron Man’ director John Favreau to helm ‘Magic Kingdom’ movie

Disney theme park to be adapted for the big screen

Jon Favreau is being lined up to direct a movie based on the Disney theme park attraction Magic Kingdom.

Battlestar Galactica‘s Ron Moore is writing the script, reports Reuters.com

It is not the first time a Disney attraction has been made into a film, as Eddie Murphy‘s 2003 vehicle The Haunted Mansion was based on a ride, while the Pirates Of The Caribbean franchise was derived from a roller coaster.

Favreau directed and appeared in the first two Iron Man movies and is rumoured to be taking control of a proposed third movie.
