Ash bust out the hits at Isle Of Wight

Ash performed a blistering set of punk pop as the second day (June 9) of the festival moved towards its climax.

Barely pausing for breath, singer Tim Wheeler and co tore through a greatest set that had the crowd bouncing an mosh for the full hour.

Opening with 'Burn Baby Burn', the band - playing their first summer as a trio again following the departure of guitarist Charlotte Hatherley last year - mixed old favourites including 'Girl From Mars' with the title track of forthcoming album 'Twilight Of The Innocents'.

However Wheeler trigged speculation after suggestion Ash might be about to split up after the later.

Introducing set closer the singer told the crowd: "This is the last song of our final album."

So far the band have yet to clarify the onstage comments.
