THE ONE STOOGE!

J MASCIS & THE FOG have confirmed that RON ASHETON of THE STOOGES will be joining the band for a number of their UK shows in June.

Ron played guitar on the classic albums 'The Stooges' and 'Funhouse'. The collaboration began in the US where Ron toured with The Fog, whose other members are Mike Watt
(Minutemen, fIREHOSE) and George Berz (Dinosaur Jr), and playing a set entirely made up of Stooges songs, sung by Mike Watt in Austin, Texas.

To coincide, a special limited edition 7" only single will be released on June 11 through City Slang. The single will be a double A-side, featuring 'Waistin'' (taken from the recent album 'More Light') and a version of the classic 'Leaving on A Jet Plane'.

Ron Asheton joins The Fog for the second half of the tour, beginning in Glasgow. The full line up of dates is as follows:
Nottingham, Boat Club (June 1)
Sheffield, Leadmill (2)
Leeds, Cockpit (3)
Manchester, University (4)
Glasgow, King Tuts (5)
Portsmouth, Wedgewood Rooms (7)
London, Shepherds Bush Empire (8)
Brighton, Pavilion (9)

Support at all shows except London and Brighton comes from Creeper Lagoon. In London, support comes from Mark Eitzel and Mark Mulcahy.
