JA RULE COURT DATE SET

JA RULE’s forthcoming court case has tentatively been set for next March.

The rapper is due to stand trial in Toronto’s Ontario Court on assault charges following a pre-trial hearing yesterday (October 6).

Ja Rule whose real name is Jeffrey Atkins, did not attend court, according to The Associated Press.

The incident happened when Ja Rule allegedly became involved in an altercation at the La Rouge nightclub in Toronto’s entertainment district in June.

His lawyer entered a not-guilty plea on the rapper’s behalf in August. The rapper’s legal team will return to court next Tuesday to set a firm trial date.
