La Roux played an intimate gig at Jack Rocks The Macbeth in Hoxton, London last night (September 15).

Elly Jackson was joined by a four-piece backing band for the show at the new-music hub taken over by Jack Daniel's in association with NME and Spotify. During the gig, she performed tracks from her recent second album, 'Trouble In Paradise', along with a handful of songs from her 2009 self-titled debut album.

Wearing a green jacket with gold collar over a black top and sporting slicked back hair, the singer took to the stage for only her fourth UK gig this year. "It's nice to play a small gig," she told the crowd of competition winners after opening the set with 'Let Me Down Gently' and 'Fascination'.

Versions of 'Sexotheque' and 'I'm Not Your Toy' followed, with Jackson dancing around the stage as she sang, leaning over the audience at the front. As 'Colourless Colour' drew to a close, the singer bashed out a rhythm on a set of electronic drum pads.

La Roux brought the 13-song set to a close with first album tracks 'Tigerlily' and 'Bulletproof', thanking fans for coming to watch her.

La Roux played:
