Jack White has said that he and the team at Third Man Records would love to host a music festival.

Speaking to Rolling Stone, White commented:

We would love to. We would love to do a traveling show sometime soon. It would be nice if everybody has some affiliation with us in some way, and see if we can all put it on the road together. It would be very nice.

White added that he'd like to play the festival as well as run it, saying: "We've been talking about it for a long time now… It's a no-brainer for us to put something together that we could do in Nashville, like a day or a couple-day event, but it would be nice to actually take it on the road."

When asked if the festival could happen as early as this summer, White said "I don't know. That would be cool, but we have a lot of projects this year that are so exciting and intricate…".

White added that he doesn’t have any shows of his own booked for 2013, but explained that "it's nice to have an open road in front of me."

The former White Stripes man also spoke about the music that Radiohead recorded in his Nashville studio last year, saying "I love it. I hope that's gonna come out soon. It's up to Radiohead. I don't know what – I don't know where they're at with it."

Jack White was recently named the official ambassador for Record Store Day 2013, which takes place on April 20.
