Jack White, Marcus Mumford and Patti Smith will be among performers at a special one-off gig in New York next month hosted by the Coen Brothers and T Bone Burnett.

The event, titled 'Another Day, Another Time: Celebrating the Music of Inside Llewyn Davis, will feature live performances of music from the new film by Joel and Ethan Coen as well as songs from the '60s Greenwich Village folk scene that inspired it.

Other performers at the gig, which takes place on September 29 at the Town Hall venue in the city, will include Gillian Welch and Dave Rawlings, Joen Baez and Secret Sisters.

Several of the film's stars, including John Goodman, Oscar Isaac and Carey Mulligan, wife of Marcus Mumford, will also take to the stage to perform. A portion of the proceeds from the concert will go to the National Recording Preservation Foundation.

Meanwhile, the soundtrack for Inside Llewyn Davis is set to be released on November 11. The album has been produced by T Bone Burnett alongside Joel Coen and Ethan Coen, the same team behind the Grammy Award-winning, multimillion-selling O Brother, Where Art Thou? soundtrack.

Made up of 14 tracks, the LP will feature a never-before-released Bob Dylan recording of his song 'Farewell', which was recorded during the sessions for his 1964 album, 'The Times They Are A-Changin'. The album also features performances from Mumford, Mulligan and Justin Timberlake, who also appears in the film, which opens in UK cinemas next January (2014).
