Jack White provided the high point of the third day of Poland's Open'er Festival last night (July 4) with a hit-strewn set of White Stripes, The Raconteurs, The Dead Weather and solo material and a declaration that he'd come to Poland to find himself a new wife.

"Mother said don't come home until you have a Polish wife," the singer announced before a jaunty run through of 'Hotel Yorba', "so I'm on the prowl tonight." During an energised and light-hearted set, White also claimed he'd take a few days off of his tour to sight-see around Poland, dropped the chorus line from Jay-Z's '99 Problems' into 'Astro' and took steps to heal his rift with The Black Keys by thanking them for headlining an earlier night at the festival.

Emerging bathed in his now trademark blue light theme, White launched into a thrilling and varied set from throughout his career, taking in White Stripes tracks such as 'Dead Leaves And The Dirty Ground' and 'You Don't Know What Love Is (You Just Do As You're Told)' alongside solo songs 'Love Interruption' and 'Lazaretto', despite battling vocal problems throughout. "My voice is a little raspy," he said. "I apologise but I’m doing the best I can."

Including The Raconteurs' hit 'Steady As She Goes' into the latter half of the set, White took the opportunity to air ominous 'Lazaretto' track 'Would You Fight For My Love?' before a final 'Seven Nation Army' that set the entire field bouncing.

Jack White played:

'High Ball Stepper'
'Dead Leaves And The Dirty Ground'
'Hotel Yorba'
'Love Interruption'
'Missing Pieces'
'You Don’t Know What Love Is (You Just Do As You're Told)'
'Sixteen Saltines'
'We Are Going To Be Friends'
'Weep Themselves To Sleep'
'Icky Thump'
'Freedom At 21'
'Just One Drink'
'Steady As She Goes'
'Blue Blood Blues'
'Hello Operator'
'Would You Fight For My Love?'
'Seven Nation Army'

Prior to White's set, Foals opened the main stage with a show heavy on hard-hitting riffs as well as their elaborate math-rock fretwork. Opening with rapturously received singles 'Balloons' and 'My Number', they also played the rarely-heard 'Hummer' alongside the likes of 'Providence' and 'Inhaler' before ending the show with their regular set-closer 'Two Steps Twice', Yannis Philippakis thanking the Polish crowd for "always being brilliant".

Meanwhile, on the smaller Alter Stage, Royal Blood played to a packed and enthusiastic crowd dancing so hard to 'Out Of The Black', 'Come On Over' and 'Little Monster' that they left a hole in the floor.

Lykke Li closed the main stage with an atmospheric display of epic gothic pop including 'No Rest For The Wicked' and 'Dance, Dance, Dance', the singer declaring Open'er "the best crowd of the summer". The festival concludes tonight (July 5) with a headline set from Faith No More and appearances from The Horrors, Daughter, Warpaint and Phoenix.
