Jack White covered Beck’s 1996 single 'Devil’s Haircut' during his show at San Francisco’s Bill Graham Civic Auditorium on Friday.

The cover occurred as a medley with White’s song 'Sixteen Saltines' during the concert. The White Stripes previously covered 'Devil’s Haircut' at a show in Los Angeles in 2003.

White and Beck have recently begun collaborating, with Beck releasing one-off single 'I Just Started Hating Some People Today' on White’s record label Third Man in May.

In return, White features on Beck’s collaborations album 'Song Reader', performing 'I’m Down'. Released in July, the album features a host of musicians performing the songs Beck originally released solely as sheet music via publishing firm Faber. Other guests on the album include Laura Marling, Jarvis Cocker, Sparks and Jack Black.

White’s version of 'Devil’s Haircut' is the latest in a series of covers performed on tour for his recent solo album ‘Lazaretto’. He has also sung Jay-Z’s '99 Problems', Lorde’s 'Royals' and Kanye West’s 'Black Skinhead'.

White goes on a brief UK tour in November.

Jack White will play:
Leeds First Direct Arena (November 17)
Glasgow SSE Hydro Arena (18)
London O2 (19)
