Jake Bugg has reportedly filmed a video for his new single with film director Shane Meadows.

Meadows, best know for his film and TV series This Is England has also worked with musicians throughout his career, most notably The Stone Roses on their film Made Of Stone as well as getting Arctic Monkeys to cameo in spoof music documentary Le Donk & Scor-zay-zee. The Sun reports that Meadows and Bugg filmed the video in Nottingham, where they both come from.

The new single, the title of which is currently unknown, will be taken from Bugg's second studio album due for release later this year, according to reports. Last month, Bugg said that it would be "dishonest" if he plundered the same lyrical themes of council estate life that featured on his self-titled first record. "I want to give an insight to the same people who liked the first record about what my life is like now," he said. "That's not really a change from my first album, because all I'm doing is writing about my life. I'd never left Nottingham when I wrote those first songs, but I've travelled the world and hopefully people can relate to what I've gone through."

Jake Bugg will tour the UK in October. He will play:

Bournemouth BIC (October 19)
Plymouth Pavilions (20)
Brighton Centre (22)
London Brixton O2 Academy (23)
