James Arthur has hit out at some of the "mediocre" acts playing this year's Glastonbury.

The former X Factor winner was venting his frustration on Twitter about not performing at this year's festival, when he made the comments about other performers.

Arthur tweeted yesterday, saying:

He then tweeted: "Especially sad when you see how mediocre some of these acts are live!! #verybitter," but deleted the tweet shortly after.

Earlier this month, Arthur confirmed that he is no longer signed to Simon Cowell's Syco label. He joined the label following his X Factor win in 2012 and released his debut album, 'James Arthur', last year. But, in a career dotted with controversy, Arthur had persistently faced rumours that his relationship with the company was fractured.

The 26-year-old posted a picture of himself with a cut face earlier this week, after what he says was a fight in a Polish bar.
