James Blake will host a BBC Radio 1 show in January 2014 as part of the station's Residency series.

Throughout January a host of DJs will take over two-hour slots every Thursday night with Mercury Prize winner Blake hosting his on January 23 from midnight. Rinse DJ T Williams, who has supported Disclosure on tour, will present the show directly before.

Other DJs who will present shows throughout January include Swedish House Mafia member Steve Angello, Heidi, Rockwell, Nervo, George FitzGerald and Branko.

Speaking about his appearance, James Blake says: "I've had so much support from BBC DJs that it's going to be great to be on the other side of the desk. I'm really looking forward to starting my new show in January."

James Blake joins Daft Punk, Lorde, Tame Impala, Disclosure and The National among the artists to receive nominations for the 56th annual Grammy Awards.
