James Blake has revealed that he has finished half of his new album while also revealing plans to collaborate with both Kanye West and Bon Iver's Justin Vernon.

Blake released his Mercury Prize winning second album, 'Overgrown', in 2013 and is eyeing an early 2015 release for its follow up, according to an interview he gave with Billboard while at the Bonnaroo festival this weekend (June 15).

Speaking about the progress he is making with new material, Blake said: "I'm getting there. Every song is about 50 per cent done."

"I've had a completely different life since the first album. I’ve had a lot more freedom since the first album, too," he continued. "The [album] I'm writing now, I've had more focus doing this than I have before. I’m having more fun. It’s hard to say what will end up on the record, but it’s exciting."

Alongside West and Vernon, there is also a third artist Blake is currently working with, though he is keen to remain quiet on their identity, saying: There’s somebody else I don't want to mention right now, but who I’m really excited about too."

James Blake's next UK show will come as part of London's first Jabberwocky festival in August. He appears on a line-up which also includes artists such as Neutral Milk Hotel, Forest Swords, Caribou, Iceage, Earth and Joanna Gruesome.
